  1. I just want to say that I was so impressed with the NSA 2008 Convention. I am author and a coach that is about to launch her speaking business. I was invited by Mark Leblanc who has been instrumental in my career. I had no idea what I was in for! I have been to many conventions in my field over the years and have never attended one that was so exciting, inspiring, organized, creative and moving. Spending time with 2,000 motivational speakers cannot help but change your life. Thank you NSA for all you do and thank you Mark Leblanc for your commitment, drive, leadership and wisdom. I will see all of you again next year!

  3. I am leading my first ever concurrent session this summer in Phoenix. Can I post an ad here to encourage attendance? It is called: 026N2: Going from nothing to a six-figure income in 2 years.”

  4. I want to thank all of NSA, the amazing staff, and especially my dear, speaker friends for a wonderful convention. Many of you may or may not know that my mother passed away nine days before the Convention. After her funeral, I knew I needed to be with my second family. My daughter Caroline, who was a Youth Leader, and I flew into Phoenix for an unforgettable conference.

Thank you for your prayers, hugs and wonderful support. It was like my mother knew where I needed to be after her death to remind me of how fragile life is and how precious friends are.

I know times are tough but when we remember the passion behind our voices, we should march forward regardless of our circumstances.

    God bless you-

  5. I have been missing at some of the conventions. However, I am still a member and appreciate the opportunity to stay connected. This blog was an awesome idea.

    Kudos!

  7. Just joined NSA, but I am in the Academy. Still trying to get my number of speaking engagements up so I can be an official member. I target Hispanic students so I guess i’m going to be employed for a while. What do you think? Thanks for the support.

  8. Hi Fabian. Welcome to NSA! We’re happy to have you as part of the Academy and look forward to the day we can make you a professional member. I hope you’re planning on attending the Winter Confernece and/or the summer Convention. Our meetings are a fantastic place to network with other speakers and learn what it takes to get your speaking business to the next level. You can find information on the Winter Conference at http://www.nsawinterconference.org and Convention information will be posted soon.

Another great way to learn how to boost your business is by watching the archives from our free Web 2.0 webinar series. They’re available at http://www.mynsa.org/Webinars.aspx.

  9. Update, I am now an official member of NSA. I received my certificate in the mail. I’m excited to be a part of this association. I speak to youth at schools and other youth speakers tell me that this is only for businesses.

I think a true speaker can learn from everyone. I’m open-minded and ready to be involved with NSA in any way possible.
